Image Archives
Welcome to the archive of images produced by members of the Lagally
Research team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The images
have been divided into the following four categories:
1. STM of Si(001). Scanning Tunneling
Microscopy images of Si(001) surfaces.
2. STM of Germanium grown on
Si(001). These images have also been created using the STM technique,
although monolayers of Ge coverage produce different results.
3. AFM Images. Atomic Force
Microscopy is another technique we use to obtain information about
our surfaces. Here are some 3D images.
4. Presentation graphics.
This houses some very helpful illustrations pertaining to the concepts
of Si/growth on Si.
